Young artists get their break

Published on

About 30 art creations of students from three schools were displayed at the Scarborough Civic Centre from Feb. 17 to 28.

They partnered with the Scarborough Arts Council to display their artwork in the rotunda of the centre.

The students had been working on their pieces in workshops in modern batik art for the past several months.

The initiative was funded by the Toronto District School Board’s Model Schools for Inner Cities program. Showing their work were students from Blessed Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School, Willow Park Jr. Public School and Military Trail Public School.
