Groundhog predicts six more weeks of winter

Published on

If you are not a fan of winter, you have another six weeks of cold weather to worry about it.

Ontario groundhog Wiarton Willie saw his shadow a little after 8 a.m. on Tuesday, 35 minutes after Punxsutawney Phil from Pennsylvania emerged and saw his own shadow. Shubenacadie Sam of Nova Scotia also saw his shadow a little after 8 a.m. AT.

The groundhog’s shadow is traditionally used to predict when winter will end every Feb. 2.
