Cops hunt for leads in Tamil Congress HQ theft case

Toronto police continue to look for leads in a break-in at the Canadian Tamil Congress headquarters earlier his month.

Three monitors and a computer were taken in the break-in. The computer contained encrypted information on some of the 492 migrants onboard the MV Sun Sea, which arrived last month in British Columbia.

The incident took place sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 11 and 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 12, when there was no one in the office.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the 41 Division major crime unit at 416-808-4106 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
