Cops seek four men after mugging involving gun, bats

Police are turning to the public for help identifying four suspects wanted in connection with an armed mugging.

On Oct. 15 at about 10 p.m., two women, age 41 and 67, and a 74-year-old man walking near Bamburgh Circle and Warden Avenue were approached by four men, one armed with a handgun and the three others armed with bats, police say.

Three men stood as lookouts while the fourth demanded cash, police say. After his demand was refused, the man pulled a black handgun and shoved it in one of the women’s ribs before grabbing a purse and running off with the other three men, police say.

No one was hurt.

The two other suspects are described as male, white, 18 to 21 years old, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 with medium builds.
