Former colonel Russell Williams sentenced to life in prison

Former colonel Russell Williams was handed two life sentences, to be served in Kingston Penitentiary, on Oct. 21.

The former University of Toronto Scarborough alumnus pleaded guilty to the murders of two women, two sexual assaults and 82 break-ins.

Williams, a former colonel in the Canadian Air Force, was stripped of his commission, rank and awards on Oct. 22.
