Published on

A suspicious man nosing around for chemicals has police and University of Toronto Scarborough Campus security officials looking for answers.

On Nov. 15 at about 2:30 p.m. in the UTSC Science Research Building, the man demanded a chemical substance from another man, who denied the request, police say.

Police describe the chemical-seeking man as South Asian, about 18 to 22 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9 and wearing glasses.

Caroline Rabbat, director of campus safety and security, says there aren’t any updates but the investigation is ongoing.

She recommends students contact campus police at 416-287-7333, Toronto Police 43 Division at 416-808-4300 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS if they see anyone engaging in suspicious behaviour.
