Cops hunt sex assault suspect

Published on

Police are turning to the public for help tracking down a suspect in a recent sexual assault near Midland Avenue and Danforth Road.

On Dec. 4 at about 3 a.m., a 20-year-old woman walking north on Midland was approached more than once by a man in an SUV who tried to convince the woman to get in, police say. She ignored him.

The woman was then approached by the same man on foot and was allegedly sexually assaulted, police say.

Police describe the suspect as male, light skinned, 25 to 35 years old, and 5-foot-8 with a slim built and short dark hair.

The vehicle is described as a 2004–05 red or burgundy Buick Rendezvous with gold trim along bottom of the car and tinted rear windows.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 416−808−7474 or Crime Stoppers at 416−222−TIPS (8477).
