At about noon on Saturday, two men forced their way into the home on Burrows Hall Boulevard after the teen’s mother answered the door, police say.

One of the men, armed with a gun, allegedly forced the mother to search all the rooms for an unspecified package. When it was clear the package wasn’t in the home, the men fled saying they’d come to the wrong house, police say.

Once the men left, the mother went to see her disabled daughter and found her not breathing, police say. The teen was taken to the hospital and put on life support.

The teen, who suffered from a severe physical and mental disability, died shortly after being taken off life support Sunday night.

The suspects are described as male, black, with thick Jamaican accents, about 6-feet tall and wearing long overcoats, balaclavas and gloves.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Det. Sgt. Frank Skubic at 416-808-7399.
