Students wear pink in anti-bullying campaign

What was supposed to be around 50 students ended up as hundreds wearing pink to school on the same day.

April 13 was the Day of Pink across the Toronto District School Board. The event is meant to raise awareness about bullying and to show a stand against it.

International Pink Day started in Nova Scotia, where a student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. After that, two Grade 12 students encouraged others in their school to wear pink in support of the younger student.
