Liberal Best reclaims Scarborough-Guildwood

With more than half the polls reporting, Scarborough-Guildwood is expected to be seeing red again for the next four years as Liberal incumbent Margaret Best has been declared the winner with nearly 50 per cent of the votes cast.

An ecstatic Best told reporters she was “honoured and privileged to be given another four-year term.”

She said knew the hard work of herself and her party would pay off.

Best added that she had faith she would win, and has faith the Liberals will pull through.

Scarborough-Guildwood was expected to be a tight race. She was running against Progressive Conservative Gary Ellis, the former police superintendant of 42 and 43 Divisions.
