Scarborough clinic offers youth mental health awareness

A new Scarborough mental health clinic is now gearing towards helping youth and their families.

As of Nov. 1, the “what’s up walk-in” clinic at the East Metro Youth Services will provide youth and their loved ones with free counselling on a variety of mental health issues.

Some areas of focus are addictions, depression, low self-esteem, bullying and anxiety.

The clinic is located at 1200 Markham Rd., Suite 200 and will be open Monday to Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  No appointments are necessary.
