Attempted robbery in Toronto’s east end

Police in 42 Division report an attempted robbery on Nov. 23 at approximately 5:55 p.m. in the area of Sandhurst Circle and McCowan Road in Scarborough.

Two male suspects approached an 18-year-old male.

One of the suspects attempted to grab the victim’s cellular phone out of his hands, but the victim was able to make a safe escape.

The suspects immediately fled the scene in an unknown direction.

No injuries were sustained.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the two males in connection with the offence.

The first male suspect is described as being between the ages of 18-22, about 5’5” to 5’6” with a medium build and short curly black hair. The second male suspect is described as white, between the ages of 20-25, about 6’0” and a thin build.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 42 Division at 416-808-4200 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
