Police investigating Scarborough sexual assault

An investigation by the Toronto police is underway after an 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted near the Lawrence Avenue East area.

The incident occurred on Feb. 6 at a plaza. The man approached the victim and had a conversation with her before sexually assaulting her and fleeing the scene.

The man is described as male, around 60-years-old, five-feet five-inches tall with white hair and white facial fair. He is also missing teeth in the back of his mouth and his accent is non-English.

Police have advised the public in the area to be on the lookout while they investigate. Anyone with information about the man’s whereabouts is also being requested to immediately contact police at 416-808-4370 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
