Woman robbed of cellphone on TTC

Police are asking for public assistance in identifying two females in connection with a cellphone robbery on Feb. 29.

A 41-year-old woman was on the Scarborough LRT near the Lawrence Avenue East station around 7:40 p.m. when she was approached by two female suspects from behind.

Police say one of them removed a cellphone from the victim’s hands as she left the train.

The woman did not sustain any injuries.

Police describe the first suspect as a white female, 5-9 to 5-10 tall with a heavy build. The second suspect is described as being a black female with medium build, and about 5-3 to 5-4 tall.
