Muslim Inter-Scholastic Tournament to give out awards

The award ceremony for the Muslim Inter-Scholastic Tournament (MIST) is to take place March 12 at the Grand Baccus Banquet Hall at 2155 McNicoll Ave. in Scarborough.

The regional tournament, which begins Saturday, brings together high school students around Toronto. Competition categories include fashion, arts, writing, oratory and sports.

The MIST competition strives to promote a greater understanding of Islam and Muslims.

The ceremony starts at 4 p.m.
