A 41-year-old woman was taken to the hospital early Saturday morning after being beaten and robbed near Danforth and Leyton avenues.
Police were dispatched at 1:49 a.m. after receiving a call a woman was lying on the ground covered in blood. Const. Victor Kwong said paramedics were at the scene before police arrived.
The woman had several contusions to the head, a possible broken nose and broken ribs, paramedics reported.
An investigation is underway.
