Two men accused in 2012 homicide face additional charges

Additional charges have been laid against two men accused in the 2012 fatal shooting of aspiring rapper Anthony Spencer.

Samuel Paul, 22, who was in custody for first-degree murder, was also charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery during a court appearance on March 26.

Chever Ashley, 22, was charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery. He was initially charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

The charges arise out of the shooting of 23-year-old Spencer during a robbery in a recording studio at 799 Brimley Rd. on Jan. 21, 2012.
