Mark Trumbo and Kole Calhoun each drove in two runs as the Los Angeles Angels rallied to beat the host Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 for their second-straight win Wednesday.

The Angels (69-76) took the lead 5-4 in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly by Calhoun that brought Mike Trout home.

The Jays (67-78) escaped the inning without allowing more damage when Josh Hamilton was tagged out trying to advance on the play.

CJ Wilson (16-6) allowed four runs, three earned, over seven innings and set a career-high with his eighth straight win.

Ernesto Frieri pitched a clean ninth for his 32nd save of the season.

Steve Delabar (5-3) allowed a hit and walked two in his inning of work, taking the loss.

After struggling with his command early, Wilson began to settle down as the game wore on and pitched into the seventh inning.

Wilson found himself in jams for much of the evening but seemed to settle down when he struck out Adam Lind with runners on the corners in the fifth.

R.A. Dickey and C.J. Wilson each struggled as both were tagged for runs early in the game.

Dickey failed to pitch into the seventh inning for the first time in eight starts and exited in the sixth with runners on first and third and one out.

The Angels had a golden opportunity to take the lead in the sixth inning, but could not capitalize after Aaron Loup came on in relief after Dickey exited with runners on first and third and one out.

Loup picked off Calhoun who had began running to second base on Loup’s first move and was tagged out by Reyes.  Loup then struck out Chris Ianetta who came in to pinch for Hang Conger.

Early lead by Toronto

The Jays jumped out to the 3-0 lead in the first inning when Sierra doubled to the gap in left centre to plate Rajai Davis who walked and stole third base for his 41st of the season.

With Lind and Sierra on base, second baseman Mark DeRosa singled to shortstop Erick Aybar and Sierra came around to score on Aybar’s throwing error to make it 3-0.

The Angels responded in the second when Trumbo homered deep to left-centre for his 33rd homer of the season to cut the Jays lead to 3-2.

L.A. tied it at three on a sacrifice fly from Calhoun that brought Mike Trout home for his 100th run of the season. The RBI was Calhoun’s 24th of the season.

The Jays regained the lead in the bottom of the fourth after Sierra tripled to right centre and came around to score on Andrew Romine’s throwing error for the club’s 101st error of the season, ranking near the bottom of the American League.

Grant Green doubled to lead off the top of the fifth and advanced to third on J.B Shuck’s infield single and came around to score on Aybar’s sac fly to tie it at four.

Moises Sierra went 3-for-4 with two doubles and triple with a two runs scored, an RBI and stolen base.
