Two incidents considered related, police say

Police continue to hunt for answers after finding two males hurt while investigating reports of gunshots earlier this week.

On Oct. 21 at 11 p.m., police were called to 4110 Lawrence Ave. E. after gunfire was heard.

“We were responding to 9-1-1 calls for shots fired,” Const. Victor Kwong said.

Police found two males. A youth, 16, was shot in his side and chest. A 19-year-old man sustained injuries to his rear.

“Both were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” Kwong said. “The two shootings are being treated as related.”

Police are currently reviewing surveillance videos of the area.

There have been no charges yet but the investigation is ongoing.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact 43 Division or Crime Stoppers.
