Pedestrian dead after collision with car in intersection

Published on

Police are asking the public for information following the death of a pedestrian hit by a car in a Scarborough intersection earlier this month.

On Nov. 8 at about 7:30 a.m., police responded to a personal injury collision at Lawrence Avenue East at Bennett Road.

A 27-year-old man was crossing at the west end of the intersection when a 2011 Nissan Versa driven by a 38-year-old man heading north on Bennett Road attempted a left turn onto Lawrence Avenue and struck the pedestrian, police say.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries but died on Nov. 13.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-1900 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
