Police warn of potentially harmful lost meds

Public urged to not handle drugs if found

Police have issued a warning about some potentially fatal lost medication.

Fentanyl patches and morphine were lost sometime between 2 and 6 p.m. on Nov. 15 near the Golden Mile, police say.

The medication went missing in an area bounded roughly by Victoria Park Avenue and St. Clair Avenue East in the southwest, and Markham Road and Eglinton Avenue East in the northeast, police say.

The medication could be harmful or fatal if ingested, especially if children are exposed to it, police say.

Police say anyone who finds the medication should not handle it and instead call them at 416-808-2222 or contact Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477.
