How to make your own Christmas ornament in three easy steps

Making your own tree-shaped Christmas ornament this year is easy. All you need are a glue gun, some wire and a bit of yarn.

Are you not impressed with the ornaments that you bought from the shops? Do you find they all look the same?

If you’re a crafty person and have some yarn handy, why not make your own Christmas ornament this year?

“You can do pom-poms,” said Nina, an employee from Creative Yarn at 269 Ellesmere Rd. “You can choose different colours for them, or the white yarn with the sparkles.

“You can attach it to your tree as well (like that).”

Here is a simple way to make a pine tree ornament using yarn in three easy steps:

  1. First, gather a glue gun, a bit of wire and some yarn.
  2. Start gluing the wire while wrapping the yarn around the wire. Make sure to cover the entire wire. This will take about 10 minutes.
  3. Once your wire is completely covered with the yarn, bend it into a pine tree shape. Bending the wire won’t take long.

Ta-da! You’ve got yourself a tree. If you want to go a little bit further, why not paint some gold onto it for a more luxe result?
