Woman, 22, suffers minor injuries after attempted mugging

Would-be robber fled the scene without her computer

A woman was injured after a man tried to steal her laptop on Jan. 22.

The woman, 22, was in the Harbord and St. George street area around 6:30 p.m when she was approached by a man, according to a police report.

The man tried to take her laptop, but the woman resisted. During the struggle the woman fell and the man repeatedly kicked her on the ground, police say.

The man, who is believed to be about 6 feet tall, weigh 161 pounds and have black hair, fled the scene empty-handed.

The police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
