Dan Murray Wins Toronto Poetry Slam

Despite not being a top athlete in school Murray outshines rivals

Dan Murray won the Toronto Poetry Slam, which was held on Sunday February 16, 2014 at the Super Market.

The Poetry Slam featured 13 poets who battled rivals through three rounds.

Murray will represent Toronto at the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam which will be held in Vancouver April 5-12.

Murray walked away with prize money of $350. Toronto Observer’s Nina Raynars reports.
