Spanish artist Estrella Morente makes Canadian debut

The popular Flamenco singer is scheduled to perform at Massey Hall on March 11

The popular Spanish flamenco singer Estrella Morente is scheduled to make her Canadian debut on March 11 at Massey Hall.

Thirty-four-year-old Morente, daughter of the influential flamenco star Enrique Morente, has been performing with her father since she was 7, and she released her first album in 2001. She has been well-received by critics and audiences.

Morente also did vocals for Penélope Cruz’s Flamenco song in the 2006 Spanish drama Volver.
