Nine kilograms of heroin were seized at Pearson Airport on March 25, the Canada Border Service Agency announced yesterday.

Officers searched a cargo shipment at a warehouse that was marked as clothing and found a large yellow package, the CBSA said in a press release.

The package contained a white powder that was tested and proved to be heroin.

Last year 160 kilograms of heroin were seized in 78 events at the Toronto airport.
