Heroin seizure at Pearson Airport

Border services announced they confiscated nine kilograms of heroin on March 25

Nine kilograms of heroin were seized at Pearson Airport on March 25, the Canada Border Service Agency announced yesterday.

Officers searched a cargo shipment at a warehouse that was marked as clothing and found a large yellow package, the CBSA said in a press release.

The package contained a white powder that was tested and proved to be heroin.

Last year 160 kilograms of heroin were seized in 78 events at the Toronto airport.
