VIDEO: Happy place? A Toronto museum for Pharrell Williams’ toys

The 'This is not a toy' exhibition looks at toys as an art form

The Grammy Award-winning Pharrell Williams may be known for many things, but his love of toys as an art form isn’t as usually one of them.  Now, an exhibition that he’s guest curated, called “This is not a Toy” is open at the Toronto’s Design Exchange.   It features some of the most respected vinyl toy artists from around the world, from Frank Kozik to Takashi Murakami.  The exhibit stands as the world’s first exhibition featuring contemporary sculptures and figurines.  Toronto Observer’s Noel Ransome had an opportunity to explore the space.
