Toronto Argonauts to train at York University

2014 CFL Training Camp will be held at York

The Toronto Argonauts announced in a press release on April 10 they will hold their 2014 CFL Training Camp at York University.

The Argonauts have had several York University alumni in their ranks over the years. These include current player Andre Durie, and the recently retired Jeff Johnson. In fact, the first head coach of the York football team was once a Toronto Argonaut.

“Having the Argos on campus is very exciting for our department,” said Jennifer Myers, York’s director of sport and recreation at York University in a press release.

“The club’s presence will provide our football coaches with an invaluable learning opportunity, and I know everyone will benefit from being around a high-quality, professional organization like the Toronto Argonauts.”
