April 24th marks the one year anniversary of the Rana Plaza collapse in Bangladesh.
Activists around the world gathered at The Children’s Place offices to demand that the company pay compensation to the families of the victims of this tragedy.
The International Labour Organization along with other NGOs formed the Rana Plaza Donors Trust Fund hoping to raise $40 million to help the victims.
A rally was held on the corner of King Street West and York Street in Toronto, outside the company’s main Canadian office, on April 24. Toronto Observer reporter Andrea Preciado has the story.
