Pedestrian struck and killed on King West

Victim taken to hospital after collision, later died from her injuries

A 39 year-old woman was pronounced dead after being struck by a vehicle in Toronto.

Police responded to the call in the King Street West and Close Avenue area on Monday Sept. 15.

According to police, the victim was crossing at a King Street West crosswalk at 9 p.m. when she was hit by an SUV.

Police say that the vehicle, a Ford Escape, was driving Eastbound on King Street West. The driver was a 28 year-old woman.

The victim was taken to the hospital, but later died from her injuries.
