Police urge residents to excercise caution after victim dies from multiple gun shot wounds

A man in his early 20s was shot multiple times and killed on Trefann Street in downtown Toronto’s Corktown neighbourhood on Monday.

Nelson Mandela Park Public School and a nearby daycare were closed and under lock-down due to the shooting.

Police say the shooting occurred after altercation between four males. The suspects remain at large.

Police Sgt. Corey Crawford said there were many witnesses in the area and police are trying to narrow down their best description of the suspects. Police advised area residents to exercise caution for the time being.
