Police release images of five suspects in connection with double homicide

Police are seeking the public's help to identify five suspects believed to be involved in the fatal shooting of Zaid Athir Youssef and Michael Menjivar Toronto Police Services

Toronto Police have released images of five persons of interest believed to be connected to the murder of Zaid Athir Youssef, 17, and Michael Menjivar, 15, both from Toronto.

Zaid Athir Youssef, 17, and Michael Menjivar, 15, were killed in a fatal shooting on Oct. 6 outside the School of Experiential Learning.

Police were called to the scene at 40 McArthur St. near Islington Avenue and Dixon Road on Oct. 6 just after 12:30 p.m. after someone reported hearing gunshots being fired.

Upon arrival, they found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds in front of the School of Experiential Learning. Both victims eventually succumbed to their injuries.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Homicide Det. Sergeant Peter Trimble at 416-808-7400 ext. 77394.
