Toronto Police are warning the public about men snatching women’s purses near Spadina Ave. and Queen St. W.
On Oct. 20, a 51-year-old woman was walking on Cameron St. when she had her purse stolen.
A man was seen fleeing towards Vanauley Walk. He is described as black, with light skin and in his 20’s. He was wearing a black jacket and black pants at the time.
This is the fifth time a woman has had her purse grabbed in this area in the last few days.
Between Saturday Oct. 18 and Sunday Oct. 19, four
women had their purses grabbed by the same individuals.
Three of the incidents happened on Cameron St. and one happened on Vanauley St.
Police believe there is more than one individual involved and have released surveillance images.
