Toronto Police make arrest in string of connected sexual assaults

Police believe there may be more victims

The Toronto Police have made an arrest in connection with a string of sexual assaults that occurred yesterday in the area of Yonge St. and Davisville Ave.

According to a police report, on Oct. 22 at 5:45 a.m. a 52 year-old woman was approached by a man who assaulted her and fled when she screamed for help.

The report states that five minutes later, at 5:50 a.m. the same man approached a 32-year-old woman. Police say she was thrown to the ground, and sexually assaulted. Her personal property was also stolen. The man then fled the scene.

On the same morning at 6:45 a.m. another woman was assaulted by the same man. The 46-year-old woman also had her personal property stolen but managed to flee the scene.

Toronto man Robert Shah, 33 has been arrested and charged with sexual assault, forcible confinement, two counts of robbery and two counts of assault.

Police believe there may be more victims.
