Polls close Monday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time across cities and towns in the GTA. From the first campaign debate in February, 2014 at the University of Toronto Scarborough, to Mayor Rob Ford’s stunning health crisis in September that forced him to drop out of the race in favour of his brother, Doug, voters in Toronto are eagerly anticipating what could be one of the most hotly-contested civic elections in decades.

Our reporters are in nearly every Toronto ward, and also in communities including Brampton, Markham, Richmond Hill, Pickering, Georgina and Mississauga, to bring you live coverage of the vote results in elections from across the GTA.

Observer Television News, and Observer Radio News will also be broadcasting special election-night shows. Stay with TorontoObserver.ca’s live blog all through the night.
