Council candidate Jim Karygiannis edged out his opponents with a victory in Ward 39 Scarborough-Agincourt.

Coun. Mike Del Grande had previously held the position but announced in February that he would not run again.

Karygiannis tallied 9,438 votes, beating out his closest opponent Franco Ng, who finished with 2,950.
