TTC signal problems lead to commuter chaos

Malfunctions cause widespread delay

By 9:30 a.m. the delay still continues and no information could be provided for estimated waiting time.  Xueting Zhao /// Toronto Observer

The TTC is experiencing signal problems this morning which have caused long delays for hundreds of thousands of morning commuters across the city.

The delay first occurred on Line One Yonge-University between Union and St. Clair West Stations earlier this morning. Shuttle buses were deployed en route. But the signal issue soon affected Line Two Bloor-Danforth on both bounds between Kipling and Kennedy.

The cause of the signal problem is still under investigation.
