Red Rocket Coffee celebrates third anniversary on the Danforth

Red Rocket Coffee celebrated their third-year anniversary on the Danforth last month. The Danforth store had given away special treats as an act of appreciation to its customers for their support.

“It feels great! It is nice to be part of the community,” said Billy Bertilis, the owner of Red Rocket Coffee. “It reinforces the idea that we are doing something worthwhile and that we are contributing to the neighborhood.”

The coffee shop, east of Greenwood at 1364 Danforth Ave., is one of the two locations for Red Rocket Coffee. The other location is in downtown Toronto at 154 Wellesley Street East, east of Jarvis.

“Over the past three years, we’ve seen a lot of new retails coming and we have a great residential community and there’s an opportunity to create a retail strip,” Bertilis explained.

For those who have not been to Red Rocket Coffee, Bertilis recommends the house specialty Red Rocket, which is a mix of coffee, espresso and chocolate.

He also believes that the most important part of this coffee business is the customer service as well as staff friendliness.

“Everyone tries to have the best product. Everyone tries to serve the best food and offer a comfortable environment,” Bertilis said. “I think where we really stand out is that we have an absolutely friendliest and happiest staff and customer service, and that’s something we strive for everyday.”
