Epic lightsaber battle unites Star Wars fans

Sith vs. Jedi in the ultimate showdown in Downtown Toronto

Star Wars fans came together in an epic showdown at Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday. Fans were decked out with costumes and lightsabers.

The event was organized by Newmindspace, a non-profit organization known for planning events such as pillow fights, bubble battles and lightsaber battles.

Many fans are eager to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens, set for release Dec. 18.
