Raffi Balian sits in his office at the South Riverdale Community Health Centre and casually recalls the day he saved his former girlfriend's life after she overdosed on Fentanyl, a drug more potent than morphine. The harm reduction worker and admitted drug user says that by making Nalaxone, a drug that can be used to block opiate receptors, more readily available, many overdoses will be interrupted.
