With the reported departure of ace pitcher David Price to the division rival Boston Red Sox, many Blue Jays fans may be feeling glum this holiday season.
Fret not because even with the departure of David Price the Blue Jays still have a stable of talented players on the roster, three of whom have now been immortalized as ugly Christmas sweaters to help bring you some holiday cheer this season.
They include face of the franchise Jose Bautista, American Leaue MVP Josh Donaldson, and budding ace, Marcus Stroman.
All three sweaters embody characteristics of the players.
For Jose Bautista, his now infamous bat flip from the divisional series against the Rangers is now embedded on the sweater with the text “Merry Flippin’ Christmas.” D
onaldson’s design harkens to his nickname “Bringer of the Rain,” but replaces “rain” with “reindeer” to keep it seasonally relevant.
Lastly there’s Marcus Stroman, whose text is essentially a play on words for “Frosty the Snowman.”
You can find the sweaters on freshbrewedtees.com with each priced at $49.99 USD before shipping and handling.
