Passengers got a furry surprise on the Lakeshore West GO Train to Aldershot yesterday morning.

A raccoon was spotted by a passenger around 7:15 a.m. as they got on the train at Union Station.

Metrolinx spokesperson Anne Marie Aikins said the critter was caught hiding under a seat

GO transit employers nicknamed the sneaky bandit Rocky.

Employees isolated the raccoon to one of the coaches, which Aikins called “his private coach.”

The train continued to Aldershot where the raccoon was met by Burlington animal services and safely removed from the train.

Mayor John Tory discussed the incident, saying on Twitter, “I banished that raccoon. He knows why.”
