Paramedics were called to take a man to hospital after a serious car crash in Corktown.

At about 12 p.m. on Oct. 9, two cars collided at Adelaide and Parliament, leaving one car fully flipped on it’s side and the other with it’s front bumper hanging.

Fire fighters worked to safely remove the driver from the car, who sustained injuries including minor bleeding and shock.

Onlookers crowded the scene, drawn by the loud bang that came from the collision. Police quickly taped off the scene, questioning witnesses.

All traffic between Richmond and King streets was blocked off, diverting traffic to allow cleanup of glass from the broken windshield. Transit buses were forced to loop around the scene.

The intersections re-opened after 4 p.m..
