Train evacuated near Dupont for fire investigation

Passengers were taken off a smoking TTC subway train between Dupont and St. Clair stations today on Oct.19.

Toronto Fire Service spokesperson Captain Adrian Ratushniak says the smoke was spotted from the first train.

“Crews arrived and saw smoke visible from the rear of the first subway train. The fire was then quickly put out,” Ratushniak aid.

The investigation into the fire is ongoing.
