A sticker on a Bathurst Station window said it all.

“It’s the end of the line for Honest Ed’s.”

On Tuesday, the TTC unveiled a tribute to the long-standing Toronto landmark as it counts down its final two months of operation.

Nearby Bathurst Station was decorated with stickers featuring play-on-puns paying homage to the signs Ed Mirvish used to make himself.

The station also changed all of its directional signs to fit the theme.

Mirvish opened Honest Ed’s in 1948 and oversaw operations of the store for almost 60 years. He died in 2007.

The store was famous for its free turkey giveaways on Christmas and Thanksgiving while its iconic golden sign lit up the corner of Bloor and Bathurst Sts.

Honest Ed’s will close its doors for good on Dec. 31, 2016, giving way to a new development featuring apartment buildings and small retail stores.
