Police are trying to identify a man who allegedly threatened a TTC operator with a knife on Friday evening near the Markham Road and Lawrence Avenue East.

When a man caused a disturbance on a commuter bus, a TTC operator reportedly tried to call his dispatch for assistance. The man then took out a knife and cut the radio cord, police say.

The man allegedly threatened the operator with the knife and fled the bus shortly after.

In an attempt to locate and identify the suspect, Toronto Police have released several security camera images of the man involved in the case.

The man is described as 5-foot-6 with a medium build and in his mid-to-late 20s. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, black vest, dark-grey cargo pants and a black toque with red and white stripes.
