Orlando Franklin of new Los Angeles Chargers purchased minor association on Monday

Orlando Franklin is giving back to the place he grew up in.

Franklin, an offensive lineman for the Los Angeles Chargers, bought the Scarborough Minor Football Association on Monday.

He played for the Scarborough Thunder when he was a youth, before playing his high school career in Florida.

According to a media release, Franklin hopes to build a brand new facility that would include a basketball court, library and indoor turf field.

Franklin plans to visit the team later on in the month.
