Toronto man charged with stunt driving

Clocked going 203 km/h in 60 km/h zone

A Toronto man has been charged with stunt driving after allegedly driving three times the regulated speed limit on a Scarborough road .

Police pulled over a 2015 Acura on Victoria Park Avenue near McNicoll Avenue at about 2:17am.

It was clocked at going 203 km/h in a 60 km/h zone, police say.

A man, 24, has also been charged with speeding and racing a motor vehicle. His licence has also been suspended for seven days and his vehicle impounded for seven days, police say.

He is scheduled to appear in court later in March.

According to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario, “a stunt driving ticket will be issued when a police officer finds a driver driving in excess of 50 kilometres per hour.”
