Toronto police are looking for a man described as “violent” after the assault of a woman, 26, in her North Toronto home earlier this week.
Police were called to a home at Lawrence Avenue West and Avenue Road at about 2:15 a.m. on March 13. A man had fled the scene before the police arrived .
Shawn General, a 32-year old Toronto resident, is wanted on four counts of assault causing bodily harm, four counts on unlawfully causing bodily harm, assault, mischief under $5,000, obstructing justice, failing to comply with a condition of judicial release, and two counts of breaching probation.
He is described by police as 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, and having brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black bomber-style jacket with a fur-trimmed hood, blue jeans and grey and black Air Jordan shoes.
Police describe the suspect as violent and advise the public to not approach him if spotted but to call 911.
