59 counts of petty theft from parked cars

Man, 20, arrested for thefts in Parkview Hills, Topham Park, Edge Park

A man has been apprehended following multiple property thefts from parked cars in the Parkview Hills, Topham Park, and Edge Park areas, police say.

The areas targeted by these thefts were mainly residential areas.

Police say the thefts were of personal property from parked cars. Police allege the accused trespassed on residential properties and checked vehicles for unlocked doors. If doors were locked, vehicles were forcibly entered and property removed.

Jordon Cox, 20, of Toronto, was arrested on March 4 and faces 59 charges, including 32 counts of loitering at night and 24 counts of theft not exceeding $5,000. He is also charged with two counts of possession of property not exceeding $5,000 and mischief or damage of property not exceeding $5,000.

He appeared in court at College park on March 5.
